If I could bring back any show from my childhood, I would bring back Double Dare.  Double Dare was a fun show to watch.  Though it was a game show it also asked trivia questions, which was good for students to learn, thus saying that Double Dare was very productive at teaching children while having fun.  Who didn’t like watching people getting covered in slime, and having to slide in whip cream.  What else can I say about this show?  I mean, that was the show in a nutshell and why I watched it and would bring it back.

Title: Things to do in the Boro

Comment: I agree, Statesboro is growing.  Though there’s not much to do in Statesboro there are some things, and promises of being more here in the future.

To me, there’s not that much to do in Statesboro that is free, but I have found somethings to do for little to no cost.  I love just riding around Statesboro…(wait for it)…hanging off of a tailgate.   It’s a cool rush and you get to talk to people you go by.  It’s also fun to go to Wal-Mart and go people watching.  All types of people go in and out of that store.  The third thing that is fun to do is watching intramural games here at GSU.  You get to pick from what sports you want to watch as well as if you want to watch just guys, girls, or both play.    All three of these activities don’t cost anything at all unless you are paying for the gas and they are all fun to do.  So if you are ever visiting Statesboro, I would suggest you do one of these three things if not all of them.

Title: Freshman Year… Where Did You Go?!

Author: Patty Feole

Comment: I hear ya. Had I tried out for softball umpiring my freshman year instead of my sophomore year I would have met more people as well. I saw understand not wanting to go anywhere because your significant other is somewhere else and you want to keep trust and faith in the relationship. Thanks for making me feel bad about my GPA that is at least good enough to keep my housing job haha

Title: To Be A Freshman Again

Author: Sarah Russell

Comment: I know how that is. It was kinda hard for me to branch out because I’m just a ‘good ole country boy’ from a small town. I’m ok with just striking up a conversation, but I fail afterwards. I wish I would have used the campus activities and programs more to meet new friends, though I do like the ones I have now.

When asked if I would go back to my freshman year, I would say no whether it was my high school freshman year or my college freshman year.  Yes there are some memories I do not want to remember, but there are also memories that I never want to forget and if I change the past I may never get those cool memories.  My freshman year in high school consist of trying to find my place with people in the school.  I soon found out that my place was everywhere.  When people would say, …”your crew,” everyone had to think about who my crew was because I was around everyone.  The only person I was around the most was my best friend and we went all of our junior year not talking to each other, but that’s another story.  I did the same in my freshman year and college and still hang out with my best friend when I am at home.  In fact, if things wouldn’t have gone the way they have me and my best friend won’t be in business together with Southern Coastal Productions, a lighting/audio production group.

Title: Books PR Pros Should Read

Comment: Like you, I haven’t read any of the books, but Chelsea Handler’s book would be my first choice if I had to read one.

Title: 10 Books Every Pro Should Read

Comment: Hey, at least you have read one of the books.  I have not read any of the books, but if I HAD to choose one to read I would read Chelsea Handler’s book, because it seems to be a funny read.

You may call me a slacker, but I don’t like reading period.  Thus saying I have never read any of the 10 books a PR person should read.  Honestly, I don’t want to read any of them, because they aren’t ‘sports’ worthy and when I read, I read things about sports.  I don’t know of any books I would add to the best books a PR person should read list.  But if I had to chose a couple of books from the list to read, I would probably chose Unbroken because its a war story and Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea because the title seems like it would be funny.

Title: My Dream Job

Comment: I hear ya. My dream job is to be on SportsCenter, but all sports reporting is going to former pro athletes nowadays. Whacking a person sounds fun, but I wouldn’t suggest whacking a person in National Archives.

Title: Dream Job

Comment: That job sounds cool and you by what I have read you really seem to love doing work in the community service aspect of it all.  That’s great and I wish you the best of luck obtaining your dream job.

For me, my dream job is to be  an anchor for SportsCenter.  Sports have been my life for years, since I could remember.  Besides, that I love talking and having fun.  The guys and gals on SportsCenter have fun with their jobs and get to meet some pretty cool athletes/stars. To get to my dream job, I am majoring in Multimedia Communications with an Emphasis in Information as well as minoring in Public Relations.  I hope that with these skills I am learning in college will help me to get to my dream job.  If I can’t get a place on SportsCenter, I would settle for a place on the Today Show.

Title: Hey there Grandpa!

Comment: I know what you mean. I never got to know my mom’s mom, because she died of a stroke 8 months before I was born. My grandfathers were my best friends. They’d let me do anything and they taught me a lot. I’m without both of them now and one bad days I miss being able to run to them and talking to them. I never would get into what was bothering me, but just talking to them about anything would always make everything seem better.
